It was Alan
Kay
who wisely said…
“The best way to predict
the
future is to invent it”
For
those of you that have attended our conference in the past, you know
that we’re not your average conference. We create powerful experiences
that reshape businesses and ignite the human spirit with green as the
anchor point.
Creativity is one of humankind’s greatest unlimited resources, and
contained within it is the potential to solve the most difficult
challenges we could imagine. West Coast Green’s role is to provide the
bridge between innovative products and technologies and the businesses
and individuals that can specify them, introduce cutting-edge knowledge
from the industry’s leaders to those that are seeking it, and deliver
outrageous, brilliant ideas to those that can fund them.
Why the
move?
Even as we write this, there is an
explosion of new technologies, business plans, and products coming out
of the Cleantech industry centered in Silicon Valley. Moving to the
heart of innovation enables us to deliver the type of brilliant,
out-of-the-box ideas from thought leaders, to the people who seek
solutions.
Working closely with the TechMuseum of Innovation, the City of San
Jose, AIA, HBA, PG&E, The Keiretsu Forum, Urban Re:Vision,
IDEO, and USGBC we bring stakeholders together to propel forward the
green business and building industry simultaneously.
What
to expect
As you walk through the San Jose
convention center you’ll find a feast for your senses and fertilizer
for your mind.
- Over 400 exhibits
showcasing the most current products and technologies, including a
dedicated area to display outrageously brilliant products just arriving
on the market. See them before you can spec them!
- An expanded global
presence: the German, Canadian and Japanese Consulates will showcase
the products and innovations of their countries’ leading
thinkers
- Advanced interactive
educational tracks expanded to include: Affordable Single &
Multi-family Housing, CleanTech & Venture Capital, Sustainable
& Values-Based Business Models
- Dynamic networking events
designed to tackle real-world issues and create valuable connections,
to name a few: crazy-fast networking sessions, an all-day design
charrette with IDEO, and numerous concurrent leader-to-leader
roundtables hosted by leading economists.
You’ve been at the forefront of our
minds all year. We have a phenomenal opportunity to invent the future
at this moment in time. So, if you’re someone who wants to connect with
people excited to be alive in this beautiful, challenging time and
create contagious positive change, please mark your calendar.
With
respect and appreciation,
